we have

`8^2 + Z^2 = y^2` ---- 2

`18 + z^2 = y^2` --- 3

We have to equate 2 and 3 together

`64 + z^2 + 324 + z^2 = 676`

take the like terms

2Z² = 288

Divide through by

Z² = 144

z = 12
