Answer: 4 seconds

Explanation:

c=cheetah. a=antelope

a=c+120

c/90=a/60

c/90=(c+120)/60

60*c/90=60*(c+120)/60

6*c/9=c+120

2c/3=c+120

(2c/3=c+120)*3 ==> multiply the equation by 3 to get rid of fractions

2c=3c+360

2c-3c=3c-3c+360

-c=360

c=-360 feet==> position of cheetah before catching up to the antelope. This means that the cheetah needs to travel 360 feet before reaching 0 ft when it catches the antelope.

360 feet * 1 second/90 feet=

360*1/90=

360/90=4 seconds
