People in general are prone to watch a video rather than reading a body of text; but writing (reading for the audience) has also certain advantages, such as enhancing connectivity in the brain more accurately.
Albeit video allows to deliver a massive amount of information in so many ways with several communication styles, writing also allows what is called "asynchronous communication", which means it doesn't require the communicator to be present in the same place and/or time as the receptor.
Writing, Video, printing and cinema, they all share the advantage of asynchronous communication.
