Hello!

By finding the difference between the temperatures, you'll need to subtract the two temperatures. To find the difference, you'll need to subtract -14 from 96, or 96-(-14). However, subtracting -14 from 96 is the equivalent as 96+14, so after adding 96 and 14 together, you'll get 110F°

If you wanted to subtract 14 from 96, your answer would be 82F°

I hope this helps!
