Vascular tissue that conducts food produced during photosynthesis is the phloem. The phloem is the innermost layer of the bark of trees which contains various specialized cells such as sieve tubes and phloem fibres. The phloem transports soluble organic compounds made during photosynthesis to all the parts of the plants where it is needed.
