Tony has 7/8 of a Candy bar. He wants to split the bar into servings that are 3/10 of the bar. Hw many servings can he make?

namely, how many times does 3/10 go into 7/8, well


\bf \cfrac{\quad (7)/(8)\quad }{(3)/(10)}\implies \cfrac{7}{8}\cdot \cfrac{10}{3}\implies \cfrac{7}{4}\cdot \cfrac{5}{3}\implies \cfrac{35}{12}\implies 2(11)/(12)

so, if we nevermind the 11/12 part, tis just 2 wholes.
