8/8 = Total
1/4 = 2/8 (Same denominators make it easier to subtract)
2/8 + 3/8 = 5/8 (5/8 is the amount given away)
8/8 - 5/8 = 3/8
Joel has 3/8 of the muffins left

The answer will be 3/32.How I got this answer is fraction is like doing multiplying and dividing so just do your time tables if you know them.Then you will get your answer.
