a rectangular tank is 9cm wide. It contains 1.5 L of water and 2.5 L of oil. The height of the water level in the tank is 6cm. What is the height of the oil level?

10 cm. If the ratio of liters of water to height in cm is 1.5:6, you divide 2.5 by 1.5 to get the height of the oil. When you do this, you get 1.6666666, you then multiply 6cm by 1.6666666 to get 10cm of oil.
