A cylindrical vase is filled with water to 2 inches from the top. The vase is 4.5 inches tall with a diameter of 6 inches. What is the volume of the WATER? Use 3.14 for π and round to the nearest cubic inch.

d = 6 inches

r = d/2 = 3 inches

h(water) = 4.2 - 2

h(water) =2.5 inches

volume = pi r^2 h

volume = pi(3)^2 * (2.5)

volume = 71 inch^3

Therefore, D is your answer.
