PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! IM SUPER STUCK AND CONFUSED!!!!!!

Points A (-10, -6) and B (6,2) are the endpoints of AB. What are the coordinates of C? On AB such that AC is
(3)/(4) the length of AB?

AC = 3/4 AB, that means to get to AC you have to 3/4 what you would do to get to AB. We can describe getting to AB as going along the x and then up the y, that means to get to AC you would do 3/4 along the x and then 3/4 along the y. Total x = 16 (6- -10) Total y = -8 (-6 -2)
3/4 x = 3/4 * 16 = 12
3/4 y = 3/4 * -8 = -6
Now add these to our start coordinates from A:
(-10, -6) + (12, -6)
= (2, 0)
