What is the side length of a square with area 16 cm

4cm. Since all sides of the square is equal in length, and the formula for area is base and width are the same, the equation will be x time x = 16. x times x equals x squared. So x squared =16. Square root of 16 is 4.

Area = Length x Length

Length² = 16

Length = √16

Length = 4

Answer: Length = 4cm
