Compare and contrast how c4 plants and cam plants separate the acquisition of co2 from the production of sugar in the calvin cycle.

Answer: Comparing;the photosynthetic fixation of CO2 are both different from C3 plants

2)the fixation of CO2 and regeneration of RUBP are separated

Contrasting;In C4 plants, the incorporation of CO2 into the cycle is separated between the mesophyll and palisade layer.

The CAM plant does the same between day and night

2)in CAM plants,the light reaction takes place during the day and the dark reaction takes place during the night when the stomata is opened to take in CO2 while in C4 plant,both reactions takes place in the day

3)in CAM plants the fixation of CO2 and regeneration of RUBP occurs in one cells while in C4 plant it,they occur in the mesophyll cells and bundle sheath cells respectively
