Answer:

The answer is 2

Explanation:

  • The formula for the slope is y2-y1/ x2-x1
  • so ( -1 ,8 ) (5, -4) 8- ( -4) ÷ 5- ( -4 ) = 2
  • hope that help. Have a nice day

First point = (x1, y1) = (-1, 8)

Second point = (x2, y2) = (5, -4)

m = slope

m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1) .... is the slope formula

m = (-4 - 8)/(5 - (-1)) .... plug in the given values

m = (-4 - 8)/(5 + 1)

m = -12/6

m = -2

The slope is -2
