Causes for Waverly being successful at chess:

  • Waverly devotes herself to the game and gets involved to the extent that she starts believing that the game is real. This notion of reality helps her win every game.
  • Waverly's family insist her to practice the game more and more and put no other responsibility on her shoulders.

Effects of Waverly being successful at chess:

  • Waverly is able to give very little time to her family and she herself gets very less family time.
  • Waverly has become complacent because of her success.
