Answer: That's a tuffy as they can both go hand in hand. Although physical torture can give short to semi-long term damage. Mental torture can stick with you forever. In most cases it can lead to PTSD or Schizophrenia. Yes Physical torture can affect you in the moment and may hurt for days, weeks or even months but mental torture is a long-term effect it. The torture never stops. You may be able to wash it away with meds, drugs or alcohol. But it never leaves you. It sticks with you to the very end, always in the back of your mind. Mental torture overall is probably the worst kind of torture you can receive. As said before they can both be pretty bad since they go hand in hand but mental torture is definitely worse then physical torture.
