Answer: the 1st one is 8.55 X 10^-5 the second one is 8.55 X 10^5

Explanation:

when the decimal goes to the left, the exponents it's negative; when it's to the right, the exponent is positive. so one the 1st problem the decimal moved 5 spaces to the left giving it the value of 8.55 X 10^-5
