How can I solve this equation?
4(0.2x – 5) = 12

Explanation:

Divide both sides of the equation by 4

0.2x-5=3

Move the constant to the right-hand side and change its sign

0.2x=3+5

Add the numbers

0.2x=8

Divide both sides of the equation by 0.2

x=40
