How are cells that go through meiosis different than regular body cells

Answer:

The regular cells of the body tend to divide through the process of mitosis. However, the sex cells of the body divide through the process of meiosis.

In the process of mitosis, two daughter cells are formed which are identical to the parent cell and are diploid.

In the process of meiosis, four daughter cells are formed which are haploid and carry half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell.
