Answer:Theory of mind

Step-by-step explanation:

Theory of mind is our social cognitive skill which is vital because it allows us to understand our mental state and those of others around us.

This means we are able to understand others and our own emotions, beliefs, desires and knowledge.

So when we think we also think about our thinking in order to ensure we understand others regarding the fact that others .at have diffrent mental states than ours; understanding where this comes from.

It is called a theory of mind because we don't really know what goes on in other people's mind we only have theories about that. We may assume what another person thinks but we can never be fully certain about it.

Marcie as an eight year old still lacks the ability to think about what others think so that she may be able to relate well with them.
