Distribute parenthesis on both sides

7x + 8x + 2 = 18x - 27, that is

15x + 2 = 18x - 27 ( subtract 18x from both sides )

- 3x + 2 = - 27 ( subtract 2 from both sides )

- 3x = - 29 ( divide both sides by - 3 )
