Answer:

$3.78

Explanation:

Given: The first group bought 6 slices of pizza and 4 soft drinks for $ 28.28.

The second group bought 5 slices of pizza and 4 soft drinks for $ 24.50.

To find: The cost of one slice of pizza.

Solution: Let the cost of one slice of pizza be $ x, and the cost of one soft drink be $ y.

As per question,

6x+4y=28.28 ...(1)

5x+4y=24.50 ...(2)

On subtracting equation 2 from 1 we have,

x=28.28-24.50

x=3.78

Hence, one slice of pizza costs $3.78.
