Answer:

Therefore, x = 6.76 units

Explanation:

Consider a Right angle Triangle Δ ABC at angle C = 90°

AB = Hypotenuse

AC = 7

BC = x

∠ B = 46°

To Find :

x = ?

Solution:

In Right angle Triangle Δ ABC Tangent Identity is given by

\tan B = \frac{\textrm{side opposite to angle B}}{\textrm{side adjacent to angle B}}

Substituting the given values in it we get

\tan 46 = (AC)/(BC)\\ \\\tan 46 =(7)/(x) \\\\\therefore x =(7)/(\tan 46)\\\\\therefore x = (7)/(1.035)\\ \\\therefore x =6.759\\\\\therefore x =6.76\ units

Therefore, x = 6.76 units
