Given expression as :

( 2 ×
10^(16) ) + ( 7 ×
10^(16) ) = x ×
10^(y)

Or, ( 2 +7 ) ×
10^(16) = x ×
10^(y)

or, 9 ×
10^(16) = x ×
10^(y)

Now, comparing left hand side and right hand side of equation

∵ left hand side = 9 ×
10^(16)

And right hand side = x ×
10^(y)

So, from comparing

The value of x and y is

x = 9 and

y = 16

Hence The value of variable for the expression is x is 9 and y is 16 . Answer
