The midpoint M is defined as
M\Big((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2)\Big)

where
P_1(x_1,y_1),P_2(x_2,y_2).

So we have


M\Big((2a-4a)/(2),(4b+0)/(2)\Big)=\boxed{M\Big(-a,2b\Big)}
