Hence each kid can get any number of books and there is no chance a kid does not get any book also.

There are 5 kids.

Take the first book. It can be given to any one of the 5 kids in 5 ways

Now second book can be similarly given to any one of the 5 kids in 5 ways

this continues for all 20 books

Total no of ways =
5*5*...20 times\\= 5^(20) \\=9.53674E+13
