Follow the PEMDAS order of operations

calculate the exponents

Apply exponent rule


( - a) {}^(n) = - a {}^(n) . \: if \: n \: is \: odd

Thus,


( - 4) {}^(3) = - 4 {}^(3) = - 64

Multiply and divide (left to right )


2( - 64) = - 128
