Toxic chemicals, such as benzene, beryllium, PCBs, asbestos and vinyl chloride are man-made unconventional toxic pollutants that are regulated by the EPA. Other forms of unconventional pollution include noise, unpleasant odors and light pollution as well as aesthetic factors.
