so, f(x)=y and g(x)=y.

  • the first equation can be written as y=5-2x
  • the general equation of a straight is y=mx+c

  • now comparing given equation with the general equation mentioned above, the slope of first line is -2 and its y-intercept is 5
  • the slope of second equation i.e, y=(2/3)x-2 is 2/3 and its y-intercept is -2.
