First you have to find the slope (m).


(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \\\\(5-4)/(-1+3) \\\\(1)/(2)

so now insert the numbers into the equation y=mx+b

5=2+b

b=3

so now that you know b

y=1/2x+3
