Both equations should be in slop-intercept form (y=mx+b)

So add -2x to -6. Your equation should look like this

y=2x-6

In y=mx+b

b will fall on y-axis

mx is rise/run

So in the first equation plot -6 on y axis and go up 2 and over 1(because 2x is equivalent to 2/1 x)

In the second equation plot -1 on the y axis. Then go up 1 and over 3 from that point.
