Answer:

The required number is 8.

Explanation:

Given : If
(1)/(2) is subtracted from four times the reciprocal of a number, the result is 0.

To Find : The number ?

Solution :

Let the number be x.

The reciprocal of number is
(1)/(x)

(1)/(2) is subtracted from four times the reciprocal of a number, the result is 0.

The equation will become,

4* (1)/(x) - (1)/(2)=0

Solving the equation we get,

(4)/(x) -(1)/(2)=0

(4)/(x) = (1)/(2)

x= 4* 2

x=8

Therefore, the required number is 8.
