Given

Number of pizzas sold yesterday ,m=55

20% increase in pizzas sold from yesterday will get the employee a bonus

So number of pizzas to be sold today for the employee to get a promotion


=m+m*(20)/(100) \\=m+m*(1)/(5) \\=(6)/(5) m\\=(6)/(5) * 55\\=6* 11\\=66

Therefore 66 pizzas need to be sold today for the employee to get a bonus

if the number of pizzas sold today, n=40

⇒ Change= n-m= 40-55= -15

Negative sign indicates decrease in pizzas sold

Percentage change
=(15)/(55) *100=27.272727.....

=27.273%
