There are 8 forks in the silverware drawer. There are 2 more knives than forks, and there are twice as many spoons as knives. How many pieces of silverware are there in all?

Number of knives = 2 more than the Number of forks

= 2 + 8 = 10

Number of spoons = 2 x Number of knives
