Answer: C. The law should apply uniformly to everyone, even kings

Explanation: The authors of the Declaration of Independence were all believers, therefore they were not against religion, but they were against the human corruptive notion of religion, where classes are created and divine right is conferred on only one ruler and all others are subordinate. The founders of the US were believers who believed that everyone have the same rights, which are natural rights, given by that same God, given to all. Everything on earth is given by God and given to all people to govern and take care of it, so kings and everyone else have the same rights. It is another thing is that people have begun to interpret it as suits them, for their own interests and because of that they have created boundaries that divided people and spread disagreement among peoples. According to the Old Testament, one God's law applies to everyone, both to people in a particular country and to foreigners and kings, and it is a law of God that affirms all people equally, and because it is a law of God no man should change it and change according to oneself.
