Answer:

For Native Americans one common misunderstanding is that they like to gamble. This conception comes from the fact that in many indian reservations in the US, casinos are allowed in order to create economic opportunities for the tribes, which are mostly poor. The fact that some tribes own casinos does not mean that they themselves like to gamble. They are simply providing a service.

For African Americans, a common stereotype is that they like to eat unhealthy foods, especially fried chicken (with the worst stereotype being that African Americans almost only eat KFC). This can be explained in two ways, first, it's true that most African Americans like fried foods because it is part of their cultural heritage, since deep fried foods, also known as soul food, are part of the cuisine of the southern United States. However, that does not mean that they do not like healthy foods. The problem lies in the poverty that affects black people. Unhealthy foods are cheaper than healthy food, and many poor black americans can only access those.

Another stereotype that affects African Americans is that they are more prone to committing crimes. When applied without analyzing the socioeconomic conditions that affects the community, it is a dangerous stereotype that leads to racial profiling.
