Under this diagnosis various symptoms are combined and can be referred to as a syndrome. The psychologist will look at how frequently are they,how long they last when they occur and then be able to establish a name. This allows the psychologist to make consultation with other professionals.
These symptoms though doesn't explain the person that you are dealing with ,their personality,their pattern of thinking ,acting and thinking are. It is shallow description that doesn't give much information on the person.
Structural psychological
This diagnosis psychologist works on establishing the personality of the patient and it structure for example looking at the relationship that the person has with others ,the quality and intensity of these relationships and their impact ,the defence and adaptive mechanisms,what symptoms led them to where they are now, this is a rather thoroughly done diagnosis.
