Explanation:

So we don't know how many marbles they started with, so we can put 'x' as each of their amounts. (S=x, R=3x) This is because whatever Sean has, Rachel has 3 times that. Without any other numbers or information, that is all we can infer.

Solution:-

  • At now they both have same number of marbles let they be x and y

Before Rachel had 3times more marbles than Sean .

So it would be

  • x marbles(Sean)
  • 3x marbles(Rachel)
