Glucose and oxygen is created with the help of sunlight by the process of Photosynthesis. It uses carbon-di-oxide and water for the same. Cellular respiration, on the other hand, consumes this glucose to convert to ATP and emits out carbon-di-oxide using oxygen. Thus, with the help of both these process, levels of carbon-di-oxide and oxygen are maintained in the ecosystem.

Both these processes are interdependent because what is exhaled in one process, is inhaled by other. This balances the ecosystem.
