In pure water, all of the molecules in the liquid are water molecules so the mole fraction is 1 (100 % H2O, 55 mol/L). In sea water, the concentration of water molecules in the solution is less than that of pure water so the vapor pressure of sea water is also lower.

The study of chemicals and bonds is called chemistry. There are two types of elements and these are metals and nonmetals.

The correct answer is described below

What are moles?

  • The mole is the base unit of the amount of substance in the International System of Units.
  • It is defined as exactly 6.02214076×10²³ elementary entities, which may be atoms, molecules, ions, or electrons

In pure water, all of the molecules in the liquid are water molecules so the mole fraction is 1 (100 % H2O, 55 mol/L).

In seawater, the concentration of water molecules in the solution is less than that of pure water so the vapor pressure of seawater is also lower.

Hence, the correct answer is mentioned above.
