= Total people left + Number of babies born

= 99,000 people + 3,000 babies = 102,000 people

Number of people who move in during the year = 10,000

So, at the end of the year number of people in the country

= Total people present + Number of people who moved in

= 102,000 people + 10,000

= 112,000 people

or, the number of people present in the country = 112,000

Hence, by the end of 1980​ there are 112,000 people in the city.
