Explanation:

-1/2 is -4/8 when you find the common denominator of 8. Next you write the equation -4/8 times 1/8 then you keep change flip the 1/8 so now the equation is -4/8 times 8/1 you get rid of the eights turn it to ones and get 4/1 which is really 4
