You got $300 for Christmas. You want to buy a hoodie that cost $52, a pair of pants that were $45 and you need shoes. Write an inequality to find out how much money you at least have to buy shoes.

Answer:

300-52-45=m

M is the amount of money you can spend on shoes. If 300-52=$248 then you buy a hoodie for $45 then you have 203 left. so thats how much you can spend on shoes.

Answer:

she at least has $203 to buy a pair of shoes.

Explanation:

Total allowance for Christmas = $300

Cost of 1 hood = $52

Cost of 1 pair of pants = $45

Let the cost of a pair of shoes = $m

Now, Cost of 1 hoodie + 1 pants + 1 pair shoes = $300

or, $52 + $45 + m = $300

or, m = 300 - 97 = 203

or, m = $203

Hence, she at least has $203 to buy a pair of shoes.
