many as Kareem. If Wilt scored 20 points more than Julius, how many points were scored by each player?

Kareem = 14

Wilt = 29

Explanation:

Let Kareem's score be x , this means that Julius' score will be x -5 , since he scored 5 less than Kareem's score. Also, Wilt's score will be : 2x + 1.

Since wilt's score is 20 more than Julius' score , this means that the difference between Julius's score and Kareem's score must be 20 , that is

2x + 1 - ( x - 5 ) = 20

2x + 1 - x + 5 = 20

2x - x + 1 + 5 = 20

x + 6 = 20

x = 20 - 6

x = 14

Since x represents Kareem's score , the Kareem's score is 14

Julius' score is x- 5, which is 14 -5 = 9

Wilt's score is 2x + 1 = 2(14) + 1= 29
