Answer:

a) The number of ‘Wacky News’ sold on Friday = 100

b) The number of Daily News sold on Friday = 40

Explanation:

The ratio of Daily News : Wacky News = 2 : 5

and the ratio of Wacky News : Truthful News = 4 : 1

a) The number of 'Truthful News' papers sold on Friday = 25

W / T = 4 / 1 ⇒ W = 4 T

Comparing both ratio of W, we get

Also, T = 25

So, W = 4T = 4 x 25 = 100

Hence, the ‘Wacky News’ sold on Friday = 100

b) Now, D / W = 2 / 5

and W = 100

D =(2W)/(5)

or, Now,
D   =(2 * 100)/(5)  = 40

or, 'Daily News' sold on Friday = 40

Hence, the number of Daily News sold on Friday = 40
