Many natural colors that were easy to come across, such as green golden or brown, sometimes black, or dye from flowers such as red, and yellow. Blue was very rare during this time

Answer/Explanation:

People used any colors that they could find in their environment. If they had charcoal or other black items that left a black streak they would have black. This was done for other colors as well.
