Answer:

The fund invested by Mr. Boris in B is $ 452.8

Explanation:

Given as :

The profit percentage return from fund A = 8 %

The profit percentage return from fund B = 2 %

Let the amount invested in fund B = x

So , The amount invested in fund A = 2x

The total profit earn together = 1440

So, The profit earn from fund A = 2x + 8% of 2x = 2.16 x

And The profit earn from fund B = x + 2% of x = 1.02 x

∴ 1.02x + 2.16x= 1440

Or, 3.18x = 1440

∴ x =
(1440)/(3.18) = 452.8

So, The fund invested ib B = x =$ 452.8

Hence The fund invested by Mr. Boris in B is $ 452.8 Answer
