step 2: 2.5x-1=-6

step 3: 2.5x-1=-6

step 4: 2.5x= -5. Divide both sides by 2.5

-5/2.5 = -2

y= 1/2(-2)-1

step 6: 1/2(-2) = -1

y=( -1)-1

y=-2

step 7: (x,y)= (-2,-2)

step 8: graph your coordinate
