We know that the equation of the line having slope m and passing through point (
x_(1) , y_(1)) is


y-y_(1)=m(x-x_(1))

Now the equation of the line is
y-(-6)=(-5)*(x-5)


y+6=-5x+25


5x+y=19

Now given that (3,r) lies on this line


5*3+r=19

r = 4
