Solve the system using elimination,
2x - 3y = - 19
7x + 7y = 21

x = -2

y = 5

Explanation:

2x - 3y = -19 ---------------------------(I)

7x+ 7y = 21 -----------------------------(II)

Multiply equation (I) by 7 and equation (II) by 3.Then add and so y will be eliminated and you will get the value of x

(I)*7 14x - 21y = - 133

(II)* 3 21x + 21y = 63 {Now add}

35x = -70

x = -70/35

x = - 2

Plug in x = - 2 in equation (I)

2*(-2) - 3y = -19

-4 - 3y = -19

-3y = -19 + 4

-3y = -15

y = -15/-3

y = 5
