When you put your light bulb in the circuit, it may not light up. Which measurement can you make to show that the lightbulb is still an active element in the circuit, even if its not lighting up. Describe what you expect the measurement to read if the lightbulb isn’t working compared with if it is working, but just not hot enough to see as light.

Answer:

(a) Measure flow of current

(b) If there's flow of current, measurement is non-zero figure but if there's no flow the reading on ammeter is zero

Step-by-step explanation:

We’ll use ammeter to measure flow of current. In case it gives non-zero value, the light is an active element in our circuit but if it’s zero, then the bulb isn’t good as it opens the circuit, leaving it open.

We also know that power and heat are related by

P∝
RI^(2)

Heat∝
RI^(2)t
